GSAs Unite: Boycott 2015 "Stonewall" Movie

In 2015, the preview for Stonewall was aired and our community understood immediately that this film was not for us. We knew the history of trans women of color, queens, lesbians had to be honored and this film needed to be shut down. I launched Boycott 2015 “Stonewall” Movie to spark online conversation and to push resources toward projects led by impacted communities. Over 25,000 people signed on and I believe this petition played a part in the eventual poor ticket sales.
